Automotive Buy Sell Report is going through a strategic change after this issue. We will no longer be pushed out weekly through various channels. That will occur monthly. We will still continue to post Transaction News on a regular basis. To receive it just subscribe to ABSR on the site. There is a button on the right hand side of the home page you click on to do so. I will continue to post contributor’s columns and my own stories and dealer profiles each week; again, if you subscribe those will be pushed into your email box.
On to this week’s issue. I admit I never thought of California’s Central Valley as an area ripe for luxury car sales, but what do I know? That is just my LA bias. Not like I have spent a lot of time in Fresno, for example. Haron Motor Cars is proof that there is a big appetite for luxury in that area. Its Jaguar Land Rover dealership is a top seller nationwide. Now, Haron has acquired a Volvo franchise in Fresno. Read my profile this week to see what Randy Haron figures to do with the brand.
There’s a lot more in the value of a dealerships than the balance sheet and goodwill calculation reveal. That’s what Champ Rawls points out in his column this week. As it is Rawls, which specializes in succession planning, he gives us the Succession Matrix. Read his column to learn more.
And of course we have Transaction News.
Enjoy!
