A Federal judge in San Francisco has approved a $15 billion settlement in the case of Volkswagen vehicle owners against the company related to the use of software which hid the extent of diesel emissions. Under the settlement, owners of Volkswagen and Audi brand vehicles with 2.0 liter 4-cylinder diesel engines can seek buybacks beginning November 1 and receive up to $10,000 in compensation, reports the Los Angeles Times here:
