Volkswagen announces plans to recall, refit up to 11 million cars with emissions software

Volkswagen AG announced it would recall and refit up to 11 million vehicles carrying emissions software that shut off emissions controls when a car was being driven on the road but not when it was tested for emissions, reports Reuters in Automotive News here:
