Sonic Automotive Inc. will use proceeds from selling several dealerships in Michigan to the Suburban Collection for acquisitions in the Sun Belt, where it already has a significant footprint, said Sonic EVP of Operations Jeff Dyke. Sonic, the fourth largest dealership group in the U.S. by sales according to the Automotive News Top 125 dealerships list, is focused on California, Texas, and states in the South.
