Lithia Group on Oct 1 announced it had completed the acquisition of the 27-store DCH Group. The two groups are radically different in size and footpring. Publicly-listed Lithia has now has some 128 stores in 14 states.
Before the DCH acquisition, Lithia’s stores were concentrated on the Western United States in smaller markets. It owned predominantly domestic-brand franchises.
DCH was more focused on import brands in large metropolitan areas in Southern California, New York and New Jersey.
