The Conant Auto Retail Group, or CAR, of Newport Beach, Calif. has acquired three dealerships from Fladeboe Automotive Group of Irvine, Calif.
The Buick/GMC, Volkswagen, and Honda franchises are all in Irvine. The terms of the deal were not disclosed but CAR owner Dave Conant said it was the largest deal yet for his group. The CAR Group is the 23rd largest dealership group in the U.S. in terms of units sold in 2013 according the Automotive News Top 125 dealership group list. It owns franchises in California and Florida.
