Though it is home to many companies developing automnomous vehicle technology California has banned testing of such vehicles unless the vehicle has a steering wheel and human driver. That is set to change by year’s end as the state’s DMV has proposed regulations allowing driverless vehicles on California roads, reports the Associated Press.
