Earlier this week I attended the TLS Customer Centricity Summit at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey. This is about the fifth time I have attended this event. The internet has been playing a larger and larger role each year in all the presentations.
A presentation by Kevin Frye, ecommerce director at the Jeff Wyler Automotive Group, on using Big Data to tailor the customer experience was eerily familiar. That’s because in this week’s issue I talk with Tim Cliver, COO of Red McCombs Automotive Group and Zack Freed, the Group’s ecommerce director, about how Red McCombs has been so successful at internet sales.
Attorney Len Bellavia returns to our site this week with a column on a subject I was not aware of until reading his piece – the potential impact of a relationship with an auto broker on a dealership’s sales and thus its valuation.
Such brokers are more active in Len’s part of the country right now, meaning Metro New York, and New Jersey, he says. But they are expanding, and their impact will grow along with their footprint.
It’s been a fairly active week for Transaction News, as well.
Enjoy!
