I shared a table with my good friend Wadette Bradford at the Women Dealers Leadership Luncheon during NADA, and was excited to hear about her new gig. Bradford is now Dealer Network Diversity & Investments Manager at FCA. Her boss, Bashar Cholagh was at the table too.
They are heading up a program in which, rather than becoming part-owner of a dealership along with a new dealer principal, FCA acts as a guarantor for a loan to acquire a dealership. It’s a unique approach, and one FCA hopes will boost the number of minority owners, including women, of its franchises. Read more about the program in this week’s issue.
