I don’t know about you, but if I don’t make a list before I go to the grocery store I end up forgetting to buy the stuff I really needed and buying things I don’t need, or goods I already have. That’s why I have multiples of kitchen cleaning products, among other collections.
Lists are useful, and not just for grocery shopping. This week, Joe Aboyoun looks at the different areas of a buy sell agreement that need to be closely monitored before the close to ensure that it happens in a timely manner. Among other useful suggestions, Aboyoun provides a list of questions addressing what the buyer is obligated to accomplish in order to close the deal. For example, has the buyer arranged timely inspections? He also looks at the seller’s obligations, which though fewer are still significant.
I always enjoy talking with dealers for a profile, but this week’s conversation was especially enjoyable. Bill Marsh Jr. returned my call immediately, and he didn’t know who I was, nor was he (unbelievably) familiar with Automotive Buy Sell Report. I learned the quick call back was because “Radical Responsiveness” is one of the principals by which the Bill Marsh Automotive Group operates.
Read this week’s profile for more on the Group, including why it is in the buy here, pay here business and how Northern Michigan wildlife can provide a business boost.
As always, we also have Transaction News.
Enjoy!
