I was in NOLA at NADA last week. I like NOLA as a venue. The entire show is contained in one site, though it is quite a hike to get from one end to the other. Though we had a bit of a mishap i.e. FedEx lost our booth, I did try to connect with all our contributors who were going to appear at the booth. Thanks again.
Besides seeing old friends, I made many new friends and look forward to staying in touch. Many of you are interested in contributing so look for them in the coming months on our site.
The buy sell world is on fire. That’s what I gathered from talking with professionals in many different aspects of the industry. Automotive Buy Sell Report aims to continue to report on the action and look for new ways to add value for our readers in the coming year.
In this week’s issue, contributor Ira Silver goes all the way with a sports analogy to make the point that having the right, and the right amount, of management is a crucial consideration if you are considering buying a store or a platform. The demands aren’t just to run the new business, as he points out. There are also additional expenses such as raises for the employees that are promoted to new positions when a boss moves to the new business.
Also this week, I look at some of the news that came out of NADA and how it has both good and bad implications for dealers.
Enjoy!
