In the United States, Volkswagen AG has pretty much settled the case against is for installing software that hid the extent of emissions from its diesel-powered cars, but litigation is ongoing in Australia and Europe and VW’s lawyers in Australia are stalling because they fear the outcome could result in even bigger fines in Europe, reports the Wall Street Journal here:
