The average transaction price for new light vehicles in the U.S. in December rose 1.5 percent, or $521, compared to the same month in 2015 to $35,309, says Kelley Blue Book. Incentives have also increased, however. The rise is attributed to a shift from cars to trucks and utility vehicles.
