The California New Car Dealers Association has sent a letter of complaint to the California Department of Motor Vehicles about a Tesla Motors Inc. program that rewards friends who refer a new buyer to Tesla with a $1,000 credit and also gives the buyer a $1,000 credit for after sales service, gear, or another vehicle purchase, reports Automotive News here:
