Dallas News has reported that AutoNation’s top executive will be replaced by someone outside of the automotive industry. During his tenure as COO at USAA, a San Antonio-based financial services company, he was responsible for business strategy and customer experience. AutoNation felt it was wise to step outside the automotive circle as the industry faces potential industry disruptors in the years ahead.
