U.S. average light vehicle transaction price in August up nearly one percent

August new light vehicle transaction prices rose nearly one percent compared to the same month in 2016 to $34,646, says Kelley Blue Book. That is a much smaller gain than the two to three percent gains in the first half of 2017. Incentives are still averaging more than 10 percent of transaction prices.
