Tesla inches closer to a franchised auto dealership by applying for license to sell vehicles in Michigan

Though banned from directly selling its luxury electric vehicles in Michigan, Tesla Motor Co. has applied for a license to sell and service vehicles in Michigan, which if approved could allow Tesla to sell there by appointing someone to act as its representative, reports The Detroit News here:
