MD Johnson, Inc. announces the sale of Palm Kia of Ocala Florida to Don Jenkins Auto Group. The dealership was relocated to 1730 College Road .in Ocala on the date of closing. Craig Bachrodt, the seller of Palm Kia continues to operate Palm Chevrolet in the Ocala Florida market. The Bachrodt family owns dealerships throughout Florida and Illinois. No sales price was disclosed.
Mark Johnson, President of MD Johnson Inc commented that “ this is a strategic acquisition for Don in Ocala and really rounds out his holdings in the market.” Johnson also state that “ Craig sees a significant opportunity to grow his pre owned business at the Palm Chevrolet of Ocala location and the sale will free up 4 acres directly across from the Chevrolet dealership”. Johnson sold the Bachrodt family the Kia and Chevrolet dealerships in 2001 on behalf of long time Florida dealer, Robert Cuillo.
Oren Tasini of Haile Shaw and Pfaffenberger in North Palm Beach represented Bachrodt. Mark Ornstein, Chris Hayes and Frank Kilgore of Kilgore, Pearlman, Stamp Ornstein and Squires out of Orlando represented Jenkins.
