This isn’t our usual Transaction News story but interesting nonetheless. The property of the former Tyson Ford dealership in Gary, Ill., has been acquired by a Verduyn, Detroit-based company that makes tarps for flatbed trucks. Gary is part of the Chicago metroplex.
The property was acquired by a local redevelopment commission last year from Ford Motor Co. for $10. The commission sold the property after no one was interested in renting it.
