The retail car market continued to chug along in November, helped by generous incentives, hitting a SAAR of 17.5 million units, a bit up compared to the same month in 2018. The average transaction price also continued to rise, according to Kelly Blue Book. It was up $387 in November compared to the same time in 2018. Ford Motor Co. is looking at de-contenting its cars, removing features consumers don’t really use, to bring the cost down, CEO Jim Hackett told Automotive News.
